It is 71 millimeters long and weighs just 230 grams. Samyang is thus expanding its “Tiny Series” for smaller, compact cameras,

The new lens is said to be particularly suitable for taking pictures of the night sky, according to Samyang. It includes a new mode, the “Custom Mode”. The lens can be placed in the infinity focus to create beautiful star images. The focus hold button, which is also new, fixes the current focus distance. Users can also save their desired focus position and call it up later if necessary.

The AF 24mm F1.8 FE comes with a total of 11 elements in 8 groups, as Samyang continues, as well as 7 special lenses (2 ASP, 3 HR, 2 ED). The F1.8 aperture is designed to enable sharp focus and beautiful, blurry backgrounds. The 9-blade aperture should create a natural bokeh.

With an image angle of 83.7 degrees (wide angle) and a short minimum focus distance of 0.19 meters, the lens should be usable both indoors and outdoors. When used outdoors, five weather seals protect the lens from rain, dust, or snow. Size and weight should also ensure mobility.

The lens will be available in Switzerland from mid-May for 577 francs.
