Sony FE 16mm f/1.8 GM Lens Coming in Early 2021

Sony is allegedly working on a new FE 16mm f/1.8 GM lens, which is expected to be announced in early 2021. This Sony FE 16mm f/1.8 GM lens will be the world’s fastest 16mm full frame lens ever made, and it will have almost the same size and build quality of the Sony FE 24mm f/1.4 GM lens ($1,398).

This new Sony FE 16mm f/1.8 GM lens will probably be very expensive and it should be well-suited to landscape, nature, street photography and astrophotography.

The currently widest fast FE prime lens from Sony is FE 20mm f/1.8 G lens ($898), and the widest f/1.8 FE lens is the Sigma 14mm f/1.8 DG HSM Art for Sony E ($1,599).
